ASTM-B679-98
Palladium is the lightest and least noble of the platinum group of metals. With a low specific gravity compared to gold or platinum, a thicker coat with less weight is realized, but a small sacrifice in reflectivity and corrosion can be expected. Gold overplating enhances the performance of the palladium surface.
