Rhodium (Rh)
Rhodium is one of the six metals in the "Platinum" group of noble or precious metals, all of which are excellent catalyst materials. Rhodium is chemically stable and highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion. It is a very attractive metal that is often applied to a gray-white bright luster that is highly resistant to tarnish and scratching.
Rhodium has vast uses as a decorative metal, but its industrial applications range from bushings for making glass fibers used in fiber-reinforced plastic and other advanced materials to electrical contacts, capacitors, and conductive and resistive films used in electronic circuits.
