Palladium (Pd)
Palladium is one of the six metals in the "Platinum" group of noble or precious metals, all of which are excellent catalyst materials. Palladium is conductive, chemically stable and highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion. Palladium is an excellent diffusion barrier far exceeding the standard nickel barrier used in brazing applications.
Palladium has myriad industrial uses in the technology fields including electrical components for cellular telephones, personal and notebook computers, fax machines and auto and home electronics. Palladium can be used as a substitute for gold in brazing, bonding, and soldering applications.
